2017 Swim Lessons

  • There are (3) two-week sessions.
  • You can sign up for all three sessions to participate in the full six weeks.
  • You select the half-hour class that works best for you: 11 or 11:30 AM.
  • Sign-up sheets will be available at the club during the first week of the season.

Session 1 (June 12-16 and June 19-23)

Session 2 (June 26-30 and July 10-14/No classes the week of the 4th of July)

Session 3 (July 17-21 and July 24-28)

WATER EXPLORATION - GETTING COMFORTABLE IN THE WATER!
Basic Water Safety Rules - Bouncing - Walking - Supported Floating
 
LEVEL TWO
PRIMARY SKILLS
Floating - Blowing Bubbles - Holding Breath - Rhythmic Breathing
 
LEVEL THREE
STROKE READINESS
Flutter Kicks - Underwater Retrieval - Kneeling Position Dive - Bobbing
 
LEVEL FOUR
STROKE DEVELOPMENT
Standing Front Dive - Backstroke - Treading - Rotary Breathing
 
LEVEL FIVE
STROKE REFINEMENT
Breast Stroke - Side Stroke - Swimming Under Water - Dolphin Kick
 
LEVEL SIX
SKILL PROFICIENCY
Front/Back Crawl - Butterfly - Lap Swimming - Safety Skills - Turns
 
LEVEL SEVEN
ADVANCED SKILLS
Diving Board - Continuous Swim - Backstroke Flip Turns - Tread Water
 
LEVEL 8
JUNIOR LIFE GUARD
Pre-Requisites:
  • 500 Yard Continuous Swim
  • 200 Yard Free Swim
  • 100 Yard Breast Stroke
  • 100 Yard Side Stroke
  • Tread Water for two minutes
